Stroller Rides!
This is what we have been doing a lot of on these warm summer days. On this day we walked up to the library and got a book on trucks. Then we walked to the park and got to see some trucks working on a sand volleyball court. Zayne thought it was great. Then we came home, ate some lunch, then took naps. Pretty much our perfect morning!
The car trip home
This is what Kyler and I had (I mean got) to ride home with for 12 hours. You can see from Kyler's expression how he felt about it.
We actually had a wonderful/fun trip to NE for Grandma's funeral. Even though we missed having Grandma there, it was so fun to see and be with everyone. Even the road trip there was a good family time. Kyler and I road home with Josiah and Luke and the trip was a blast. We even got to hear Luke and Josiah sing a duet together!
Uncles - you gotta luv them
During our trip to NE last month, Kyler got to spend lots of time with his uncles. Most of the time he thought it was great, but sometimes...

4 Months old
Today Kyler had his 4 mo check up. Here are his stats:
Weight: 12ob 12oz = 20%
Height: 24.25 in = 40%
He showed off for the Dr. by rolling over front to back and back to front. She said he is doing great and that I could start him on some fruits and vegetables. I started Zayne at around 5 months so I think I might wait until then. Kyler weighs almost exactly what Zayne did at 5months so Kyler is about a pound ahead of him. It makes sense as he was a pound heavier at birth.
We are having a nice day at home and are currently having nap time - yippee!

This week
Right now - everyone is asleep. It is 8:15am and Kyler just fell back to sleep after getting up at 6:45am. Micah and Zayne still haven't woken up yet. It is peaceful and quiet - probably won't last very long so I will type fast! Last weekend we went to the beach for a couple days. We had some free hotel nights from our credit card points and cashed them in to celebrate our anniversary weekend. We brought the boys with us and had a really fun family getaway. I will post some pictures soon. The trip really wore us out though. Both Micah and I have been really tired this week. Last night I put the kids to bed at 7:30, took a shower and went to bed. Poor Micah, he had to work late and then come home to an unatural disaster in the house. I didn't pick one thing up all evening and then just left it that way and went to bed. I came down early thinking I would get it all picked up before breakfast and to my delight it was already spotless - I have a Super, Wonderful, Amazing, Hubby!
We had the Chili cookoff this week at the restaurant. It is a big event here downtown and most of the food industries participate to help with name recognition. We don't actually serve chili at Rudino's, but my grandma helped my dad make 40 gallons of amazing white chili. I didn't go as it was raining, I was too tired, and I have two boys, but I am sure it was fun.
Zayne
Dear Zayne,
Right now you are an energetic, fun, sensitive, slightly picky, curious, and friendly little 21 month old. You love to be outside and trips to the park are the highlight of your day. You just finished with your bottles and will now take milk from a sippy cup, but it has to be warmed up. If its not you point to the microwave in protest. You sleep from about 8:30pm - 8:30am and need fewer nighttime visits from us each week. You take one nice long nap in the afternoons and never complain about going to bed. You still love your pacifier and blanket. Your brother Kyler is turning out to be a pretty funny guy and you like to see him smile - he sure thinks you are pretty special as well. I love looking in your warm, twinkling brown eyes and getting smiles from you. You hand out kisses to your daddy without being asked and love to help him make coffee. Baby Einstein is still the only thing you will watch, unless there is a sports game on that includes balls. Then you clapp your hands and point to the tv like you are hoping you can be apart of it. We love you so much and are so happy that God chose us to be your family!
