Summer Memories
We have had a fun, and busy couple of weeks. Last week, we had some good friends come all the way from Seattle to visit us. They are moving to Virginia and are taking a cross county trip in a 30ft RV to get there. Our boys had so much fun with their sweet girls, playing, imagining, and running, and jumping together. It was so fun to re-connect after almost 8 years of not seeing them. We met them in FL as newly married with no kids, and now are in the full blown parenting life. It was a special visit we are hoping to reciprocate once they get settled in their new home.
Some other recent memories: The Church Picnic at Fitzgerald Park, playing on our new slip and slide (we had 90 degree weather for over a week, but now it is in the 60s and feels like fall - go figure), spending the night at Saba and Safta's - the boys had so much fun and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a steak dinner and movie at home with only a newborn!, hosting a shower for my cousin who is about to have her first baby, a couple super fun "guys hike" and some family bike rides trying out some new trails. The boys ride their bikes and we walk/run to keep up. We are looking forward to when we can all ride together, but will probably wait until next summer to attempt that.

Soccer Camp
Zayne got to go to his first On-Goal Soccer camp this year - thank you Saba and Safta. This Camp is a Magnusson boys tradition and all my brothers have Loved going. Zayne loved it too! He memorized verses, learned the basics of soccer and made new friends. He was so cute and little - he liked all of it except the awards ceremony - he does NOT like to be "on stage" in front of people.

Shelby Update
Our little girl is 6 weeks old - super sweet, easy disposition, go with the flow and pretty much just cries when she is hungry or needs her diaper changed. She can be a little fussy in the evening and then just prefers her Daddy to put her to sleep on his shoulder. I have NEVER had a child sleep through the night and always found the question: "so is he sleeping through the night" rather annoying and ridiculous because both the boys never even thought of going more than 4-5 hours until they were around 9 months old. Well, Shelby sleeps through the night. She goes at least 6 hr stretches during the night and often will sleep 8. Most of the times I have to use the bathroom before I have to feed her :) We love having a baby around the house and her sweet little grunts and noises bring smiles to our face. The boys both still absolutely adore her and are paying her more attention now that she is awake a little more.

Summer 2013
Our days are fun, crazy, sweet, special, and full these days! We have had lots of fun playdates at our house - running through the sprinkler, riding scooters, climbing in the tree fort and playing in the cool basement with all the toys. We had a fun weekend watching Zayne play in his soccer tournament to finish off a great week of On Goal Soccer. Sunday - we enjoyed the Church picnic at a really neat park where the boys and Micah went for a hike in the cliffs. Zayne said it was the best day ever!

40 Weeks!
Little Boys at Play
Some of the boys favorite things to play with these days:
Jenga Blocks, Dominos, and Blocks = hours of fun building ALL sorts of things: Houses, tunnels, barns, roads, hotels, bridges, apartments
They love to make forts out of the sheets - sometimes we call themTents
Pirate ship on the swing on the porch - this is a dangerous one, but LOTS of fun
Their train set is still a favorite too!
It will be interesting how having a little girl will change up our play a little - Dolls and princesses???
