Interesting Week...

Well, we have had somewhat of an interesting week. I have been having contractions on and off for the past 7 days. A couple nights, I thought we were headed to the hospital. I don't really know what this little guy is thinking, but I would sort of like him to just make up his mind. He would be a little early, but at this point he would be healthy, and honestly I would be relieved to be done being pregnant.

Last Monday, I had a baby shower at our Church. It was so special and I felt happy the rest of the week because of it. I had a bunch of other little things happen too, where friends and my mom helped me out in little and big ways that just left me feeling loved and cared for.

Well, I am off to watch 24 with my hubby and hope the contractions either stop soon or tonight will be the night...

35 Weeks

I haven't done a very good job on tracking my pregnancy with this blog. It is probably because I don't have much time to think about it because of the other little person in this picture. But there are actually a few other reasons as well.
This pregnancy has actually felt almost identical to when I was pregnany with Zayne. Overall, I don't have hardly anything to complain about, but honestly being pregnant is not my most favorite thing. I actually enjoy giving birth and the sleepless nights more than the actual being pregnant - I know weird. I think with this pregnancy as well, I have struggled a little with God's timing vs. my timing and feeling overwhelmed with having 2 and only 18 months apart. For the first 3 months I was pregnant I had no idea. Then the next 3 months I spent slightly in denial and shock, the last 3 I have been slowly adjusting, adapting, preparing, and growing into the idea that we ARE going to have another little boy in less than a month now.
The funny part is that without me realizing it, I have fallen in love with this little guy. Even though I don't like being pregnant or the timing of it all - I really like, no LOVE, this little person inside me. I can't wait to meet him (and have him stop kicking my ribs), love him, and have him join our little family. We have the coolest name picked out and I can't wait to officially give it to him. It will be so fun to watch Zayne become a big brother and to watch the two of them become buds.
I have been in a major nesting phase the last few weeks - my poor hubby, who has been amazing in putting up with all my silly little things that "have" to get done NOW. I also have had the wonderful help of awesome friends and a great Mom who have come and helped me clean, organize, and prepare meals. Another huge, unexpected blessing was a shower that was thrown for me by one of my new best friends Maggie and our Church Grand Ledge Baptist. I got some adorable WARM clothes and a few other items that we either borrowed and had to give back or things that I never had, but wished, I did with Zayne.
I am feeling so much better about having another one, which is probably good since he really could come anytime now. I have contractions on and off for about an hour almost everyday these days and I think the little guy is getting anxious to come meet the world.
I will try and post a few more belly shots before I have him.

Magnusson Christmas FUN

Better a little late than never - here are some pictures of our Christmas with our family. We had a Christmas Eve dinner at our house and opened the sibling gifts. It was a fun, relaxing evening and really special to be here to share it with my family. They were all going to be in NE for Christmas, but the bad weather kept them home. We were sad they didn't get to go be with my Dad's side of the family, but I have to admit, I loved having them here the WHOLE holiday. Christmas Day we headed over to my parents house, opened tons more presents, ate tons more food, and just enjoyed being together. In the last picture, both the Micah's are missing, but 7 out of 9 people smiling is still worth posting :)

A Quiet Fondu Dinner...

Maddie eyeing the blanket situation - see more below...

A quiet Fondu dinner with three 17 month olds??? Yes, we were slightly crazy, but it actually worked out and we had a wonderful dinner with some good friends a couple weeks ago. We fed the little people dinner first and then tried to get them to watch a Baby Einstein movie. Our plan looks like it worked from the pictures, but as soon as we took the picture, Maddie decided she was cold and needed more of the blanket. That led to her brother Luke being cold and telling us about it. We got Luke his own blanket, but then Maddie decided she was freezing and needed even more of the blanket. Zayne wasn't happy about that, so he let us know. Eventually, we got them each their own blankets and put pillows between them. We thought we were brilliant and would have at least the 20 minutes left of the movie to eat. Two minutes later they were all up and wanting to play. We ended up just letting them play with whatever they wanted and having a nice dinner with very few interruptions. It is so nice to have friends with kids the same ages because you can just relax knowing that whatever your child does, theirs has or probably will do within a couple weeks as well. We loved just talking about our kids and the fun, silly, sweet, and naughty things they have each been doing. It was such a fun, memorable night. We are blessed to know these friends!
