Zayne Adams

Sweet, serious, sensitive, always thinking, overly coordinated, daddy's little shadow, curious, diligent, neat and orderly, wants to do the right thing - yesterday evening you were running around after bath without any clothes on and all of a sudden you stated - "I don't want to skippy dip any more."  We promptly put on your pajamas :)

Buddy Memories

I love that Zayne and Kyler's favorite new game is "rescue."  They both take turn falling off the coach and then saving each other by pulling each other back on.    They are sweet little buds.  The other day Zayne told me he really likes going to "school" (we have a little highchair/desk set up where he works) but sometimes it's hard when Kyler comes because he bothers him :).  Kyler doesn't call Zayne "Eee" anymore he now calls him "Sane"  They love to play naked in our backyard in their "splash pad" (pool shower) and mud/sand with all their trucks.  Train tracks are a favorite activity, their favorite show is Caillou, and they both like to do play do and cut things with their little scissors.  We eat Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches almost everyday for lunch and most morning have oatmeal.  They enjoy going over to Ma Maw's to get Pop Pop's (lollipops) at least a couple times a week after nap in the afternoons.   Most morning they play together out on our porch and pretend to go to "work" on their little trucks, just like Daddy.  We almost always have conflict over who is going to get the mater truck and who is going to have to ride the fire truck - I guess the fire truck doesn't go very fast.  Somedays they take turns and everybody is happy and other days we don't go to "work" at all and just have timeouts in our rooms.  Having Daddy come home is the highlight of everybody's day.

Rough Week

This has been a rough week.  I have a really aweful sinus infection that has been building for the last few days and I feel miserable, I also am homesick all the time and just want to be with family, and I have just felt really, really sad about my brother Micah.  Last night everything sort of hit the fan and I ended up just sobbing in our room for over an hour.  Micah has been wonderful, and really sweet, and amazing through it all and the boys help by just being them.  I think over the past few years there was a lot of just trying to be strong and positive and pushing on, but sometimes everything just isn't ok anymore.  On Sunday we tried to go to the mall and take the boys to get Cinnabons which we had coupons for.  We also told them after our snack we would play at the playground at the mall.  We got there and found out the Cinnabon store had gone out of business and they were cleaning and relocating the playground location, so that was closed too.  It was really a silly, little thing, but it was hard explaining all the dissapointments to the boys and it was just one more thing to feel down about.
I start Bible Study Fellowship tomorrow and I am really looking forward to getting back into our routines for the week and just the encouragment that having bible study brings.  We are going through Genesis this year and I think it is going to be great!  I am really glad that I can Trust in a God who created everything from the very beginning!  He has and does have a plan for each of us, which started way at the beginning of time.  He knows us and loves us and always will - even in our aweful weeks :)

The pictures are from a family hike we did a couple months ago.  It was a HOT day, but made for a fun memory and cute pictures!  I am ready for some cooler, fall weather - hope it comes soon!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

This amazing man turned 34 on Saturday!  I count it a true gift to be his wife and the mommy to his little boys.  He is our hardworking, dedicated, adoring, fun, and just all around perfect husband and daddy.  He continues to put his family and his Faith first in his life and I love watching God mold him into the man he is.  I can't wait for this next year and all that God is going to teach and show us.  I first met you almost 10 years ago and I haven't stopped falling more in love ever since.   Happy Birthday!

I Love you Micah - forever....  I remember the last minutes before your brain bleed 5 years ago, You wrapped me in your long arms and told me you weren't mad at me for teasing you about your love/addition to fire.  You were a warm, kind, considerate, quiet, and calming person to be around.  Our family has been missing you for 5 years.  I am so glad that you are now with Jesus - free, totally free, and not wishing or hoping or fighting for anything at all.  I can see you smile again and even though the hurt is really, really deep - we have so much hope too!  You have taken me to a deeper level in my love for Jesus - shown me and helped me to surrender things in my heart and take them to the feet of the cross.  I can't wait to see you soon and get another one of your hugs!

Family Day

A couple weeks ago we told the boys we were going to take them someplace special after Church on Sunday.  We told them it was going to be a family day and really, really fun.  We didn't disapoint!  We took them to Lighthouse Point near Ormand Beach.  It started off with a little nature hike and then we took on the Lighthouse.  We all climbed over 200 stairs to get to the top -it was a really fun challenge for the boys and they both did great!  It is so fun to have them at an age where we can really start enjoying some adventures with them.  After the lighthouse we drove to the beach and had a relaxing (eerrrr not with two boys) I mean, energetic afternoon at the beach :)

Donuts at the Park

This continues to be a favorite family tradition of ours.  We take donuts to a park, eat our yummy snack and then run around until we burn off all the sugar.  On this occasion Gramma and Grampa joined us.  I think we provided the donuts and they brought the coffee.  It is so special to have them close by to be able to share these fun memories with us.

A Birthday Party to remember!

Our little boy was turning 4, a birthday party we must score!  We planned and schemed until we had a good idea!  A jungle expedition at your gymnastics gym - yes!, you said, THAT was a good idea.  What fun we had on that special Sunday afternoon.  Lots of people that love you to the moon.  We all celebrated by jumping and flipping, and rolling, and swinging and eating.  You had a smile on your face and your dimples couldn't be beat! Pizza and cupcakes, fruit and drinks.  A brithday party that will be hard to repeat!  Happy 4th Birthday Zayne Adams Plimpton - we love you!!!
