Daddy
This man is the bright spot in all of our lives! He brightens up our whole world and it is the highlight of our days. We have loved having some extra time with him these past few months and it is going to be hard having him gone all day at work. The boys talk about him all the time and he is their favorite person to do things with. I am so blessed to have a husband who is so involved and intuned to his family. He is my rock and is always there to talk things over. I learn so much from him and love that he is always pointing his family to Jesus through his steadiness, faithfulness, compassion, and perserverence. We love you!
ThankFUL!
Today we are so thankful for:
Our beautiful home, wonderful weather, a new job opportunity, health, friends, family, Bible Study Fellowship, a new Church home, new friends, a new bike for Kara, a loving marriage, and these two silly fun boys!

3 Yr. Check Up
Zayne: Yesterday you had your 3 yr check up. You were so big! You listened so intently to the nurse and did everything she asked. You were even able to pee in a cup. You didn't cry at all when you had to get your finger pricked and you answered all of the doctors questions like such a big boy. Mommy and Daddy are SO proud of you and of who you are becoming. It is such a privelege to watch you grow and change. Everyday you learn new things and I love seeing the look of accomplishment come over your little face when you do something for the first time. I have been trying to do "school" with you a few times a week. Mostly we do little crafts together and try and incorporate some learning. You really like using glue, stappling things, and cutting things. You love to ride you bike and are getting really fast! You have gone through a growth spurt this summer and I think the FL sun has been so good for you! I don't think you have been sick once since we moved back and you are eating more than you ever have. I would say we are passed the "picky" eating stage and most things that are served you will eat, especially if you have ketchup or honey to dip it in. You enjoy having your schedule and things planned for the day. Monday we go to Walmart, Tuesday is BSF, Wednesday is Library day, Thursday we go to a park... You have done so well with all the changes you have had the last few months. I think you are feeling more and more settled here, even though you still ask about Safta, and Saba, Na NA, and Luke and Maddy. We love you SO much little boy.

An October Wedding

These pictures were taken during my trip back to MI. Part of the reason I went back was to attend a special friend's wedding. My brother Micah's best friend Jessie got married. Jessie has come every Sunday since my brother Micah's brain injury over four years ago just to hang out with him. He is one of the most loyal, awesome guys I know. It was so fun to see him get married and the wedding was amazing. Complete with old fashioned root beer, Cotton candy, pop corn, a barn reception, and an outdoor wedding in front of a log cabin! My mom was so happy to have all her kids together and dressed up and looking good for a family picture. Congrats Jessie and Alexis!
So I won't Forget...
These are just some little things the boys are doing and saying these days. So often I think, Oh I will never forget that, but then just a few days later, while trying to remember what I said I would never forget, I realize I can't remember. So for remembering sake...
Zayne: You really enjoy getting dressed by yourself these days. You seem to gravitate towards brown clothing. Either your old brown AE shirt or your brown bulldozer truck.
When you sing your ABC's, you really like to just skip to the end where you sing, "now I know my ABCs, won't Mama Proud a ME!" When I ask you what we should have for dinner you almost always have good ideas, most commonly - pancakes, eggs, or an "eat place" (restaurant).
Kyler: You really like to wear either your yellow big truck shirt or your firetruck shirt. You ask for it everyday and DON't like it if I tell you they are dirty today.
You come in every morning to our room and bring us the box of "blue cereal". You just say "Bruue." It is the Kellogg mini wheat's - blueberry muffin flavor. You told me the other morning after you insisted I pick you "up" that your "tummy hurts." You said it clear as day. You definitely pick up things from Zayne.

Busy Month
I haven't blogged in way to long. It has felt like a long busy month. We have been enjoying some cooler evenings and mornings. Fall is here in FL. The boys are doing great. Kyler battled an ear infection earlier last week - he is feeling much better now, back to his mischevious self. I went back to MI last week to attend a wedding and spend some time with the fam. We were all back under one roof for a night and it was so fun to be together. I need to get all the pictures of last month downloaded so I can remember what all went on. So for now, I am posting some fun ones of us on a walk and hitting the jackpot finding these huge tractors by the trail. The boys thought it was AWESOME!
