Fall

We love fall!! One of our favorite traditions of going to the apple cider mill. Yummy donuts, pumpkins, and apple trees! Such a fun family time.

Memorial weekend 2015

We have had a great weekend. We took off Saturday and visited the Detroit zoo! So fun and amazing animals! All the kids loved it. Sunday we went to church and then worked on house projects. Cleaning the garage and shop and organizing. We also got to visit some friends new property that they recently purchased. Here are some pictures and a few funny real life things that have happened recently: one morning, Kyler refused to get dressed for 2 hours because the number on his shirt wasn't as big as he wanted. Shelby are goldfish for breakfast and later on came out of my room wearing ALL of my bras around her neck. A couple weeks ago, I promised Kyler we could go to the park after we finished our errands. Shelby had pooped so I changed her diaper and then realized I had no more in the diaper bag. I could not go back on my park promise so we just stuck a maxi pad on her and kept playing. For the record, they don't work that great! Zayne has 8.5 days of school left!

Outside!!!

We are all loving being outside more and having warmer weather. It really is amazing how much more alive you feel. We have been b enjoying lots of family hikes, boys mountain bike rides and working around our property. Yesterday we had an ice cream social for Kyler's school and tonight it was family fun night at Zayne's.

A Christmas present in April

This year my parents bought us a family gift! It was something we couldn't use right away but it was definitely worth the wait!!!

random spring thoughts...

We are so enjoying the warmer weather and green things that are growing. This has been one of my favorite springs. Here are some random thoughts: We started going to a new church. It is a lot closer to us and we want to feel more connected within our community, especially as our kids get older. Micah has been taking the boys mountain biking. They all love it. Last weekend they went 12 miles! We found Kyler and Zayne super nice shoes second hand! Huge blessings. Kyler's, we found at the salvation army and they are a pair of stride rite, spiderman, size 12 boys! So fun to tell him God put them there just for him at just the right time! kindergarten round-up

Our kyler James had kindergarten round up last week. He had been looking forward v to it for weeks. He was so cute and fun. I can't believe we are already at this stage! He was my baby for so long it is hard to think of him as ready for kindergarten. Some kyler moments: last week while trying to make me feel better about a hole in my sock kyler said: don't worry mom, a hole in your sock is much better than breaking your neck. He is our black and white child. He always wants

to know worst case scenario and how much or how fast or how old or how big something is. He loves numbers, is always talking and asking questions and loves his family. We love him to pieces!

A beautiful weekend!

We had such a fun, relaxing weekend.  It was beautiful outside and we enjoyed breathing in warm fresh air and soaking up the sun.  On Saturday we got up and headed to a state park not to far from our house.  We hiked out to a little island and walked around and then had a picnic lunch by the beach.  Later that evening Micah and I got to go out on a date.  Saba and safta did the babysitting honors :).

Spring 2015

Life in the Plimpton house is going well.  We love the stage of life that God has us in right now. We are daily thankful for our home, our health, our fun kids, and just the daily smiles and laughs that flow around our house.  Don't get me wrong, we also have the screaming, shrieking and crying but all of it is fun.  Not always in the moment but usually after they are all sleep we look back and enjoy ALL of it.
We are on Spring Break this week and we didn't go anywhere, but had lots of fun playdates and activities planned. We visited Micah's parents in Florida over Kyler's spring break a couple of weeks ago, so it was nice to just be home during Zayne's spring break.  We are thankful the snow has melted and the grass is starting to turn green. We look forward to warmer sunnier days and lots of Fun in the Sun.  The kids are all growing so fast.  Shelby is 21 months and is starting to find her little voice.  She loves to have her brothers read her stories and swing in the hammock with them.  We just set up the trampoline and she loves jumping on that. It was a Christmas gift from Saba and Safta this year.  Kyler is 5!  he had a great birthday at the Traverse City Great Wolf Lodge. He is enjoying Preschool and learning to follow the rules and guidelines and is really ready for kindergarten. We go to kindergarten roundup in two weeks. I can't believe both the boys will be in school full time next year. I feel sad thinking about all of our special days we had together. Shelby and I are really going to miss having them home. Zayne is really enjoying kindergarten. He has such a nice teacher and has made some really good friends. He is doing great with his reading and learning. And it's fun to see his confidence grow.  Micah and I will celebrate 11 years of marriage next month.  It is hard to believe and yet the journey has had so much in it!  We are so blessed by b just being able to do this life together.  In friendship and love with Jesus leading our path!
