BOO

We met this little puppy at the park. His name was "Boo." As you can see the boys were not really scared off. The couple who I work for have a couple little dogs and kyler loves them. Zayne has always loved dogs too. I have never really just loved dog's but seeing the boy's face light up at a little puppy is enough to make you consider bringing one home.

Active Little Boy

This post is for Aunt Jeanne :). I guess I have been negleting in my pictures of Zayne (at lease in the last 2 posts I have done.) We have had a really good week. Zayne is over his being "off" and is back to being his sweet, energetic self. He is enjoying having Granmma and Grampa back and having them at his beck and call. He either wants "PaBa" to play legos and give him airplane rides or "GaBa" to read him stories and snuggle. We went to Tim Hortans tonight and then to a park for the evening. We came home and ate hotdogs. We have been encouraged this week by different unexpected gifts - a new lawn mower, special company, and an impromptu shopping trip with my mom. I have been working to memorize and meditate on different Psalms. Our church is going through Psalms and focusing on prayer, it has been a neat and uplifiting way for me to get through different challenges during the week.

7 Months of Sweetness

He is pretty much adorable - I know. I can hardly believe how cute this little guy is. Gives out these smiles everytime you make eye contact. He still isn't officially crawling, but he can get where he wants when he wants to get there. He is getting teeth and it makes him a little extra grouchy when it is time to sleep. He loves his brother Zayne and is getting better at wrestling and holding his own.

We are having a good week. We are all feeling and sleeping better and Zayne seems to be coming out of his little phase. He talks about "Beeeess" a lot and anytime he gets hurt now that is what he says over and over :).

Micah's parents took us out for a belated anniversary dinner last Friday and it was so fun to relax and eat with no kiddos. Off to cuddle on the couch with my hubby.

Random Thoughts

We have wonderful company here right now - I wish they would stay forever! Micah's parents are staying with us for a little over a week and it has been such a blessing. They are so relaxed, calm and gentle with the boys. Zayne has really taken to Grandma this time and asks to be held, picked up or read to by her on a frequent basis. Zayne has had a bit of a tramatic week. On Monday and Tuesday, he had a bit of a virus. He ran a fever and just acted like he felt crummy. On top of that, he got stung by a bee, fell down the stairs, and skinned both his knees. Poor little guy, he is also having a hard time with taking naps and sleeping at night. I am not sure exactly what is going on, but hope the phase passes soon. Kyler is doing great. He is eating and sleeping better and his current favorite thing is to sit on the floor and play with toys. I never remember Zayne just sitting and playing at his age - it is so cute. I am a bit tired from all Zayne's lack of sleeping. Hope tonight will be better!

So Close

Kyler is so close to crawling. He tries so hard everyday, and while he still makes a lot more progress moving backwards, he is getting better at forward movement. He is just the cutest little guy. He has such sweet facial expressions and strong emotions. Most of the time he just smiles and coos the day away, but probably about once a day, he will have some sort of "meltdown." There are all sorts of things that can set him off, but the most common is if he feels somehow that you have hurt his feelings. This can be anything from not picking him up when he wants you to, accidently bumping him, not feeding him soon enough, or not laying him down in time if he is tired. He has really picked up the solid foods well and is eating more and more everyday.
I have not been feeling the best lately. I have a sore throat and am super achy and tired. It has been lingering for about a week and I am ready to be feeling better and have some energy. I feel like all I can think or talk about is the next time I get to sleep.
I haven't done very good at being better at blogging. I haven't even done a post about Micah's Birthday or my brother Micah's - they are on the same day. We have had some heavy/sad stuff on our hearts lately and that has taken up a lot of our thoughts and energy. It is so neat how with each new challenge or trial in life, I am just more amazed at the husband that I have. He is such a Godly and caring man. He always does and says the right thing in each circumstance, even when it isn't the easiest thing to do. I am so thankful for his humble and sensitive spirit. Probably helps that he was raised by some pretty amazing parents!

Random Thoughts

I haven't done very good keeping up with blogging this summer. I feel like it is getting easier adjusting to having 2 kids, but at the same time I am pretty much exhausted most of the time. This last week we celebrated Micah's Birthday. Poor guy he had to work ALL day on his actual b-day, so we sort of just skipped it and celebrated yesterday. We went out for a dinner breakfast as a family last night and this weekend we have some family get to gethers planned. Both the boys have had summer colds this week. Kyler also had some other flu type virus last week, so we haven't been the healthiest around here - probably another reason I am extra tired these days. Last week I went and visited my dear friend Martha. She has twin boys and a little girl. We had so much fun hanging out, trying to talk around all the kids and working our tails off trying to keep up with them all! She is an amazing mom and I learn so much about staying sane in the midst of choas when I am with her. She does everything with amazing efficiency and calmness. She is also a killer sidewalk chalk artist. She can draw real looking woody's and buzz lightyear and pretty much anything else the kids politely asked for - or demanded :). Zayne is going to be in for a real dissapointment when he starts asking his momma for pictures of things. Kyler is super close to crawling, is getting better at eating solids and still likes to eat in the middle of the night. I keep telling myself someday I will miss these night time feedings, but right now I am looking forward to the days when I am missing them :).
Off to watch and movie and snuggle with my hubby!

Happy 2nd Birthday Zayne!

On August 21, 2010 - Zayne turned 2. We had a whole week of celebrating. He loved everytime someone sang him happy birthday and by the end of the celebrations had figured out how to say 2 and hold up his fingers. He had a surprise visit from Safta, Saba and Uncle Na Na one morning, got to go to McDonald's Playland with Mommy and Daddy and Kyler another day, and had a whole family celebration with a fire truck cake another evening.

We are so blessed to be your Mommy and Daddy, Zayne, and we love you so much!
