OWIES!!!

The last month we have had 2 emergency trips to the Dr. Both the boys fell within 3 weeks of each other - Zayne split his chin open and Kyler just above his eyebrow. Zayne was able to get away with just the little steristrips, but little Kyler had to get the glue. They have both healed up really nicely, but it was hard to see their perfect little faces get such nasty cuts. We are really ready for spring. It has been really cold again and all of us are SO ready for some warm weather!

No More Snow

Today was a gorgeous day! It was almost 60 degrees, sunny and the snow is GONE. Hopefully it will stay gone. I took the boys to 2 parks this morning, then after nap we went for another little walk and after Micah got home and after dinner we walked to get ice cream - What fun!!! It is amazing what a warm day can do for your heart. The pictures above are some that Micah took a few days ago while I was at work. I love the boys red matching jackets. They have so much fun together now and really get along well.

A Trip To Moonwalk

A few weeks ago, right around the time of Kyler's 1st Birthday, we took the boys to a bouncy land. Micah had taken the morning off and we went during their Todler Time. It was so fun to watch the boys run all over and have so much fun. Kyler was a little unsure of the huge bouncy inflatables, but he sure loved pushing all the little trucks around. Zayne, as you can see had no fears and just ran from one thing to the next!

Zayne 12 Months

I realized when I was posting about Kyler's 12 Month Appointment, that I had never recorded what Zayne weighed in at 12 Months. So, I thought I would put a picture of our little 2 1/2 year old at 12 Months. He was actually just a little bit bigger than Kyler is, which surprised me because Kyler just has a little stockier look to him. I guess Zayne is just a little lankier in build.

Zayne 12 Months: Weight - 18lbs 6oz

Height - 29 1/2 Inches

Kyler's 12 Month Check Up

Kyler had his 12 month appointment today. It was actually supposed to be last week, but I had a brain freeze and completely forgot about it. Anyway, we made it today and he did great. He had to get 2 little shots, but handled it like a pro and charmed everyone in the office. His 12 month stats are:
Weight: 18lbs 2 oz = 3%
Height: 28 and 3/4 inches = 10%
The Dr said he is just a slender little guy and she "Never" advises this, but we can give him whole milk. Seriously, they are so worried about obesity in kids it is almost scary. He won't take any milk other than breast milk at this point so I don't think I really need to worry about it. We are working on weaning, but I am not in a hurry to give him the bottle so if he needs a couple more months I am ok with that. So thankful for such a healthy little guy. I have a feeling the next few months are going to just get busier with him. Do you see that look in his eye?
