A few weeks ago, we were studying Noah and the flood in my Bible Study Fellowship. One verse in particular stood out to me. It was Genesis 8:1 - And God remembered Noah. Our BSF leader described it this way. "This is not that God had forgotten about Noah in the Ark, and then suddenly remembered him, but rather The Time had Come in Noah's life for God to take action on his behalf. During the exact moment that I was listening to the lecture on that passage - God was also moving on our behalf in our life. Micah sent me a text that I received after bible study that said - "pray for me I have a phone interview." That phone interview sent us into two weeks of a peaceful whirlwind. I say peaceful, because that is truly how we have felt during the whole process. We have been praying for a year for God to open up another job opportunity for Micah. We knew his current job was not going to be a long term career position - and we are ready for some additional long term security and stability in our life - smile. The position is in Michigan, in the same city that my parents live and is a really good company. The job is a really good fit for Micah's skills and strengths and the company even has an indoor soccer team! As Micah continued on through the job interview process, which included about 5 more interviews and a trip to MI to continue interviewing, we felt God's hand at work in a very obvious way. As I continued through my study with Noah, there continued to be more parallels to our situation, including the amount of time Noah was in the ark - just over a year, the same amount of time Micah had been at his previous position. Just when I was beginning to doubt that God was speaking through His word so directly to us - he sent me a rainbow. Both Micah and I saw one on different occasions. It was such a special and direct reminder that God does keep his promises and He is at work in our life. We are so thankful and excited about this new step in our life. We are happy to be able to settle more long term "up north." We feel much more at peace about sending our boys to school here and are excited to be near my family. My grandparents are also moving back to MI at the beginning of the year and we are excited to be near them again. We are still praying through a lot of details - our house in FL to be rented or sold and finding a place to settle here, also we need a Mini Van :) We are adding a new member of our family in JUNE!!! We are all very excited and feel so blessed to have a new special person in our family. The boys are both determined it is going to be a sister this time - "cause we don't have a sister yet." But we will be thankful for another active little boy as well.
I will hopefully be posting pictures soon. I am way behind on all of November and need to do a post just to document our trip up to MI. We made it into a family vacation and made lots of super fun stops and built some extra special memories!!!
