Busy Days

We have had some busy days around our house the past few weeks. A couple weeks ago, we had my Grandma Magnusson and all my dad's sisters here for the week. It was so special for Zayne to meet his Grandma Magnusson and all his Aunts. Wish they lived a little closer, Zayne loved all the extra doting on. I have some pictures I will post soon.

We have been trying to get in some extra swimming parties in and mt. bike rides. Also, my job has been taking up some extra days. I am really enjoying it, but am finding it harder to get all the things done I want to in just the 2 days I am at home now. Plus, Zayne does a good job of undoing anything I try and get done. He "helps" me unload the dishwasher and "pick up" around the house. For example, yesterday I was picking up the purse he had just "organized" all over the floor and while I was doing that, he had moved onto the napkin holder and proceded to "display" the napkins around the living room. Anyway, my days are full but I love them and how could you not enjoy the "help" for such a precious helper.

Catching up

Wow, it has seemed like July is flying by. We have been extra busy around our house, partly because I got a new job. It sort of just fell into my lap and has been such a blessing. I am helping to care for an older lady 2-3 days a week. I just work 5 hours at a time and it has worked out perfect! It is really going to help us out financially and is also nice for me to get out of the house a bit. Zayne is loving all the extra attention from his babysitters and hasn't seemed a bit put out that I am gone a bit.
Zayne is getting super close to walking. He can now stand like a pro and if prodded enough can take one or two little steps. He gets really excited though and then falls down and just crawls the rest of the way. I am really enjoying this stage. He is sleeping through the nights, taking good naps, eating like a champ and is always ready to have FUN!
This weekend we are headed out on our 1st camping trip with Zayne. We are sort of cheating as we are staying in a cabin, only going for one night, at a place 30 minutes away, and going with some pro camper friends, BUT we are really excited. I think it will just be fun to get out of town and into nature. I love how time just seems to slow down when you camp.

HAAAAPPPPYYYY 4th!!!

We hope you all have a happy 4th! We had a promotional weekend at the restaurant to celebrate and offered free teas, samples, and giveaways. It went pretty well considering most of MI was up north :) We closed at 4pm tonight and it is so fun to have Micah home this evening. I went out and bought steaks and we grilled out. It was AMAZING. I marinated the steaks, cut up potatoes and vegetables and we threw everything on the grill - WOW! Wish we could eat it all again. Now Zayne and Micah are playing chase. Hopefully, it will wear the little guy out enough to sleep through the fire works :).
Looking forward to the weekend with my "guys."
