The week Micah was on vacation, we contemplated taking a weekend trip to the beach. After a broken arm, a newborn, and really thinking about it, we decided to just to a day trip as a family. We packed in a lot of fun in one day though. We started out with a fun family Hike to Ionia State park - one of our favorites. The hike was a little longer than we all remember and after almost a 3 mile hike we were all VERY tired - especially Mommy. At one point after telling the boys for the last hour that we were ALmost there, we came across a curve in the trail that looked like we were headed back into the woods. Zayne stopped and exclaimed loudly - NOT ANOTHER FOREST!!! We all had a good belly laugh over it and soon after we came to the end. After our hike we headed to the Grand Rapids Childrens Museaum and spent the afternoon exploring and building and playing with all the fun, ineractive activities they had there. We finished the day with a yummy pizza, and Ice cream at the park in Grand Ledge at our old stomping grounds. It was a special day we will all remember for a long time. The boys had a blast and Shelby slept through the WHOLE thing :)
