Today was the last day of DK for our Zayne Adams. Kyler has been finished with Pschool for 2 weeks and we are all glad to be on summer break! The school year ended so well for both the boys and we are daily reminded and thankful of the school system, community, family and friends that we have around us. The boys have grown so much this year - they are both still best buds and there is another element of competition that easily creeps into almost all aspects of life (who gets the blue bowl, who made it up the stairs first, who gets to have the biggest piece of gum, who is fastest on their scooter - just to name a few). They both Adore they baby sister and are having fun laughing and playing with her as she is more aware and involved in life.
Zayne is the responsible big brother - he watches out for both Kyler and Shelby and wants to do the right thing. He has enjoyed school and had a wonderful class and really sweet teacher. He has learned so much and has really progressed in all academic areas, as well as grown in his confidence and social skills. He is still very coordinated and is looking forward to playing soccer this summer and spring. He enjoys learning how things work and building things with his hands.
Kyler is our sweet, precocious, little tease. He is extremely verbal and can carry on a conversation to a level that impresses most that converse with him. Some of the questions that come out of him stump and surprise almost daily. One of my favorite words to hear him say is Morning, he pronounces is Murrning :). Kyler LOVES numbers. He asks (almost constantly) about "how much" something is or "how old". One of his favorite things to do is to ride his bike or scooter down the gravel road. He learned to ride with out training wheels a few months ago and has now been practicing his "mt. biking" on his little 12in bike so he can ride with Daddy soon.
Today we got to celebrate the end of the year with an ice cream social at Zayne school and then a fun playdate at our friends house that has a pond!!! Talk about a perfect start to summer. We played and swam all afternoon.
