Today Zayne is 6 days old. His Safta(Gramma) left today, which was really hard. It was so wonderful to have my mom here to help. She knew exactly what I needed and what to say at all the right times. Zayne fell in love with her and they really bonded.
So, today is my first day on my own. Zayne is a angel baby so far and we have had a really good day. He is on a schedule and is sleeping 3-4 hours at a time during the night - it is wonderful. He likes being swaddled and is showing signs of eventually liking his bath. It is still a bit tramatic for him - poor little guy.
Yesterday he had his first Dr.s check up. He stole all the nurses hearts and has gained 2oz from his birthweight. They said that is very uncommon and praised my feeding abilities :). He now weighs 5lbs 12oz. He gets cuter every day and is really starting to watch and follow your voice.
His Daddy is totally enamored and has a really hard time leaving for work each morning. We are looking forward to a long weekend and celebrating Micah's 30th Birthday. It will probably be pretty low key, but will be special to be all together with the best gift ever!
